The Flying Tigers, piloting Curtiss P-40 Tomahawks, were a volunteer American air group based in China before America officially joined WWII. The three fighter groups (Adam & Eve's, Panda Bears and Hell's Angels) shot down 299 enemy planes, while losing only 8 of their own pilots in air combat. The P-40 at the bottom of the print features the Hell's Angels flight group emblem.
This piece is printed in stunning archival ULTRAchrome inks on velvet fine art paper.
