It was rumored that at one point, the Beatles wanted to make their version of The Lord of the Rings movie with Stanley Kubrick at the helm. Paul as Frodo, Ringo as Sam, George as Gandalf and John as Gollum. Obviously, the project never came to fruition (thankfully).
